Breaking up is one of the those things that everyone has does, no one likes and no one wants to do it. I have been broken up with and broke up with girls, they both really hurt. Breaking up or being broke up with really stinks. When you are broken up with, you sit there wondering why they did that and why it didn't work and why you were not "good enough"? But at the same time when you realize that you are worth more without them and that there will be a better person out there for you, it makes things much easier.
When you break up with the person for whatever reason, you really have to decide if the reasons you broke up with them is something you can't truly live with. I personally think that is one of the hardest thing to do...break up with a person and stick with it. The times I was broken up with, I always wondered if I would ever be able to date those girls again...well when I ran into them sometime later, I remembered the reasons why it didnt work with these girls. This always brought peace of mind that being without this person is better than with them.
The times that I broke up with a person, it was really hard because the reasons I broke up was over Faith. God was god, Christ was our savior, and the only way to heave was through Jesus Christ...this we believed in and were very convicted in our faith. But the way we went about it by worshiping, praising, following Him was rather different. Even though we had so many of the same convictions, the way we went about them was too different. Was there a middle ground, I really don't know. That made it super hard, because we both tried and experienced but didn't find peace where the other person found peace. There were great experiences in both churches and God was in both churches but we still didn't find peace. Do I think either are at fault??? Nope I really don't, we tried but it didn't work which really hurts. We both are trying to serve God but we were not able to find a place together.
I learned so much about God, I can't even tell you. I have experienced many different churches and thought I could become apart of different churches and yes there was more than one but I found that I could not change for one person. Even when I learned many great things about God and experienced wonderful things, the ability to change for someone really made the soul uneasy. The thing that bothered me the most is that I have not found a place that I am truly solid with. The different places I have experienced has only helped me grow but I don't think I have found my home yet. What I know is that I need worship, worship is so key for me, a good preacher and focusing on how you can serve and be the servant you are called to be. Learning these things were so important...it showed me were I stood with my faith and convictions.
So the moral of the story is that knowing where you stand is key. Know what you can work with and what you can't is so important. I do believe that with love you can work through many things but if you can't come to peace over your convictions whatever they maybe then it really won't work. Thats when its really hard and you just have to face the tough fact. If neither people budge, then neither will get what they want. Know your convictions and stick with them, you will find someone that fits you and your convictions.
